How do I join or build a prayer team?

Set Leaders are often looking for prayer leaders.  We want new participants to learn from some of our more experienced Set Leaders first and then placed on a team.  Contact paul@birminghamprayerfurnace.com to sign up.

A Prayer Leader on a Set Team is the gatekeeper for the microphone during open intercession times for the room.  The Prayer Leader gives direction to the whole room during seasons of small group prayer and "rapid fire" prayer times which are brief prayers by many people at the microphone.

Prayer from the microphone is a form of corporate prayer leadership.  Though there are designated prayer leaders with the authority to govern the room and the mike, anyone in the room can pray at the mike during open mike times.  Adopt a time that you regularly participate in the Prayer Furnace.  Bring others who love to pray or who want to grow in prayer with you.  Build a praying community together under the larger canopy of city-wide, night and day, corporate prayer and worship!  Bring a group from your ministry or church and grow your prayer muscles for your local focus.
